001. there are four ways to level up your pokémon: · battles! create a mod post (either by yourself or with another character), and a board mod will come along to randomise wild pokémon for your character to battle with. each wild pokémon you make faint will gain you two two levels for the pokémon who defeated it.
· trainer battles! battle it out with another coordinator, and for each pokémon you defeat, a board mod will choose between 3 or 4 levels to give to your pokémon. why the difference? it depends on how well written your post is. even if you lose in a trainer battle, your fainted pokémon will still gain 2 levels for all their efforts.
· rare candies! feed your pokémon a rare candy and it will gain 1 level. 002. alright, so evolution has to be some of the more tricky aspects to this site. following along with level-up evolutions, all you have to do is post your pokémon in a thread that involves he/she attaining the level needed to evolve, ie. after your charmander battles and gains 2 levels to reach level 16, he/she may evolve into charmeleon. however, there are others means of evolution: · happiness evolutions: pokémon who require happiness to evolve need to be out of their poké ball and posted with for 15 posts before they're able to evolve. you can keep track of this in your logs, in your head, wherever. but please be honest; we'll be on a look-out!
· evolution stones: simply post your character and the appropriate pokémon together once obtaining the necessary evolution stone. pretty simple.
· time/setting evolutions: there are some pokémon that require a certain time of day to evolve. this is also simple; post your pokémon in the appropriate time/setting, and he/she can evolve. here are some examples:
- eevee to espeon: evolve during the day with full happiness (this also applies to umbreon, though at night) - eevee to glaceon: use an item called ice rock on eevee - eevee to leafeon: use an item called moss rock on eevee
· trade evolutions: trade your pokémon (with the appropriate item) to a willing coordinator to evolve it. trade back to obtain your newly-evolved companion. feebas to milotic falls under this category.
